Nuisance Regulations

Delhi Township is a community where residents and business owners take a lot of pride in their properties. In an effort to maintain community standards and protect the public health, safety and general welfare as it pertains to properties, the Township Board of Trustees have adopted nuisance regulations which establish minimum standards for maintaining properties within the township.

The following definitions for nuisances were approved by the Delhi Board of Trustees at their November 29, 2017 meeting via Resolution Number 2017-304:

  • Accumulation of Refuse/Debris: being garbage, trash, filth, junk, scrap and other discarded materials, including a junk motor vehicle
  • Junk Motor Vehicle means a motor vehicle that meets all of the following criteria:
    • Three years old, or older
    • Apparently inoperable

  • Excessive Vegetation: being any growth of grass, weeds or other vegetation (thistles, burdock, damson, ragweed, milkweed, poison ivy, poison oak, iron weed and all other noxious weeds and rank vegetation) to a height of 12 inches or more on a lot of one acre or less.
