Delhi Citizen’s Police Association

Program Overview

The Delhi Citizens Police Association (DCPA) was formed in 1999 as a non-profit organization. Their mission is to assist the Delhi Police Department. They raise funds to help the Police Department with necessary items which are not normally provided in the township Police budget. The membership is comprised of residents of Delhi Township or anyone who has completed the Delhi Citizens Police Academy. Graduates may then join the DCPA and continue on to join the Citizens on Patrol program.

Some of the items purchased for the Delhi Police Department include a generator for a multi-use vehicle, a bicycle and new uniforms for the Bike Patrol, Stinger flashlights for all the officers, workout equipment, and a Redman suit for training.

Assisting Citizens

The DCPA has also assisted the citizens of Delhi by helping with the Delhi Skirt Game, Concerts in the Park, Delhi Business Association Easter Egg Hunt, Crimestoppers Telethon, and other functions within the township and Greater Cincinnati area.

Kids n' Cops

The Delhi Citizens Police Association assisted with the departments first annual Kids n' Cops Program. The program was developed by the Delhi Skirt Game Committee in cooperation with the Delhi police and fire departments. The event was held on Saturday December 12th 2009, and assisted 84 kids (24 families) while participating in the first ever shopping spree at the Target in Western Hills. Each child had the ability to spend $100 on both needed items, and wants.

This event would not have been possible without the generosity of sponsors, and private donations, that support the Delhi Skirt game throughout the year.
